THE OFFICE
With the alarms blaring and the red lights flashing, Maude and I exchanged a quick glance, silently acknowledging our next move. We were in too deep now to turn back. Together, we made the split-second decision to stay and uncover the secrets hidden within the Neurogenesis facility.
Maude turned her attention to the control panel, her expertise evident as she hacked into the security system. The alarms ceased, but the doors behind us were now firmly shut, displaying just how prepared this place was for unwanted visitors.
We pressed on, venturing deeper into the labyrinthine corridors of the facility. Each step we took felt like a descent into madness, the darkness closing in around us like a suffocating blanket.
You know that we’ll eventually need to find a way out of here, right? I said, feeling the consequences of our choices.
Maude carelessly nodded, her focus clearly directed towards on our next move. As we navigated the maze-like structure, her eyes were darting from corridor to corridor. With each turn, it became increasingly clear that finding an exit would be no easy task.
The air grew colder, and the silence weighed heavily on us as we pressed on, our footsteps echoing in the empty halls. It felt like we were the only ones left in the world, lost in the depths of the facility.
